Leftfoot African Safaris Banner

Dazzling, beautyful are just some of the words used to describe the Kenyancoastline. Sun drenched beaches with warm, soft sand, turquiose waters and refreshing sea breezes.

No region in the country is better served with hotel accomodations. From Lamu in the North to Chale Island in the far Aouth, visitors will find just about every type of hotel with a range of prices to suit all budgets.

Just offshore the coast is a series of highly protected marine parks that together almost stretch the entire length of the Kenyan coastline, offering a true paradise for divers.

These Marine parks are:

  • Mombasa
  • Malindi
  • Diani/Chale Island
  • Kiunga
  • Kisite Mpunguti
  • Watamu

Inland the coastline region contains a number of small and mostly specialised parks and reserves that specialize in:

Arabuko Sokoke Forest National Park:
Located between Malindi and Watamu, it is the last major remnant of tropical rain forest at the coast and features some rare species of birds.

Tana River Primate National Reserve:
Is home to a wide range of species including the rare and endangered mangebey and red colobus monkeys.

Shimba Hills National Reserve:
Located in Aouth Coast, it is the only place in kenya to view the sable antelope.
